PV Sand is a success story. The story begins in 1971 when the factory was established as a family business in Jutland. Quickly unique competences in the manufacturing of sand and coating of minerals were developed and for many years PV Sand was the sole supplier of precoated sand for Danish foundries.

The development is steadily moving forward. In 1992 PV Sand decided to become an active part of the Sibelco-concern - the leading giant inside production and distribution of minerals with over 245 factories worldwide. That means that PV Sand - apart from the flexibility that lies in beeing a independent company - now also has an international network backing the company which makes it possible to join in when large assignments have to be completed.

Today PV Sand is one of the leading manufactures of coated products for foundry, the offshore industry and sport & leisure.

PV Sand weights environmentel responsibility high. We constantly hold focus on minimizing CO2-emissions from production and we optimize and develope our products in order to live up to future standards at all times.

Among other things we have waterbased coating for the foundry industry and on that account we can minimize the use of solvents. Furthermore our special designed Flexsand® can in advantageously replace traditional material and thereby reduce heavy metals in the drinking water.
